Born from
the fire
When the studio where they both taught closed suddenly, Amanda and Matt took it over within a month so the practice space wouldn't be lost to the community.
Phoenix Power Yoga is built around heat, movement, and an hour of real focus. The work is physical, but most students tell us it changes how they think and feel as much as how they move. We're not a drop-in-when-you-feel-like-it gym. We're a studio for people who want to push themselves and keep showing up.
Amanda and Matt have lived and taught at the beach for years, and they built the studio for the people who live here. The goal is a room that supports you and still pushes you, so you leave each class having done a little more than you thought you could.

We go further

Private Sessions
One-on-one yoga and meditation built around what you need and when you're free. We'll come to you or host you in the studio, whether you're brand new, working back from an injury, training hard, or booking for a small group.
Corporate Wellness
We bring yoga to your office: on-site classes, lunchtime meditation, team workshops, and stress-management sessions.
Community
We work with local businesses, healthcare providers, schools, and nonprofits on wellness events, therapeutic programs, and fundraisers.
Why we don't
use ClassPass
You probably noticed we're not on ClassPass. That's on purpose. The studio works best for people who show up regularly, not people sampling a different studio every week.
The Economics
If you book a class through ClassPass that would normally gross us $25, we receive about $4. First-time visitors generate zero revenue while we still cover instructor pay, utilities, and cleaning costs. We refuse to slash our standards to make the economics work, and we won't charge our committed members more to subsidize casual drop-ins. Our unlimited membership works out to ~$12/class for dedicated practitioners.
Real Community
ClassPass-heavy studios create rooms full of strangers. Real community requires the same people showing up, week after week, with instructors who remember your injuries, your goals, and your circumstances. That can't happen when the room turns over every class.
Practice Progression
A different instructor every week means conflicting techniques and no continuity. Serious progression demands consistency -- you need a teacher who knows where you're struggling and where you're ready to be pushed.
No Credit Math
With ClassPass you're running the numbers every time you want to practice: weighing credits, comparing costs, deciding whether a class is "worth it." An unlimited membership means you just show up without doing the math first.
ClassPass optimizes for variety. We optimize for transformation. You can't have both.
